Mexican food is one of my favourites and I am always keen to try new restaurants with Mexican cuisine. Here are a four Mexican restaurant in the South of Adelaide that I have enjoyed with family and friends.
Tequila n Tacos - Port Noarlunga I have dined at Tequila n Tacos many times and always enjoyed the food. There are lots of choices on the menu and meals always come out quickly. Fajitas are my go-to meal choice here. They also have changing cocktail specials. The restaurant is in a nice location, close to Port Noarlunga beach and is brightly decorated with Mexican style music playing inside. You can read a more detailed review of this restaurant here.

The Little Mexican - Blackwood The Little Mexican in Blackwood has a take-away focus with only minimal seating inside, and out. It is conveniently located on Main Road in the hub of Blackwood. Also brightly decorated, it stands out on the street. Colourful, fresh ingredients are used in all dishes and you can try a range of salsas at the counter to help you decide which one to add to your meal. They even have cactus as an ingredient in some dishes! Enchiladas, taco bowls, and nachos are all delicious at The Little Mexican. My favourite part is that all packaging for meals is recyclable and biodegradable, including straws and cutlery.

Pepper & Corn - Blackwood Pepper & Corn is a small family owned restaurant with lovely staff who are very welcoming. This is a brightly coloured restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating areas. The food is a more 'home-style' Mexican and features soups, which I don't think I have seen at any other Mexican restaurant. You will have a great feed with the restaurant offering a range of appetisers, mains, and side dishes, great for sharing. I have only visited this restaurant once but will definitely return because of the wonderful, accommodating staff.
Gringo's Mexican Cantina - Glenelg Gringo's is another restaurant that has great Mexican decorations including a map of Mexico on one wall. Situated on Colley Terrace in Glenelg, it is a great restaurant to visit whilst down at the bay as it faces out to the ocean and the Glenelg square. The nachos here are loaded with different toppings portraying the flag of Mexico. This was a large plate and was big enough for two people. Gringo's have a lot of choice for side dishes, and a few different Mexican beers, and cocktails.
