If you haven't visited the delightful
Alowyn Gardens, then I urge you to put this on your To-Do list, it really is a stunning garden and you can easily make a full day, or weekend of it by indulging all your senses at nearby restaurants, wineries, orchards, gardens, art galleries. The options are truly endless in the Yarra Valley!
Happening on the 28th March, you'll see over 40 types of pumpkins on display, including a Giant Atlantic pumpkin with a 'guess the weight competition'. There will also be 30 market stalls, local craft, and art displays, produce prizes, hot food (vegan options available), and local wines/beers.
Alowyn Gardens & Nursery is located at 1210 Melba Highway, Yarra Glen. The event is from 10am-3pm, with live entertainment from 11:30 - 2:30.
Entry to the garden is usually $10 adults, free for children, though I believe entry is free for this event (I could be wrong though). Read my full review on
