In the 1880s, William A Blackeby enjoyed every child's dream. At only 14, he became an apprentice confectioner, making and selling sweets in Adelaide Central Market.
His son bought the sweet stall and it's been open for lolly lovers ever since.
They've stayed true to the old-style recipes, and now stock modern favourites, British, American and Dutch treats from three bright purple shops:
Old Style - Dive into dozens of boiled lolly flavours, including humbugs, redbacks, sarsaparilla, and butterscotch.
Aussie - Test your strength with the 1kg giant rainbow lollypop, colourful jelly babies and witchety grubs, jubes and snakes, sugared almonds and barley fruits.
British - Tempt yourself with Toffee and butterscotch, ginger sticks and fizzy belts, fruit pastilles buttery Scottish tablet, herbal winter candy and giant strawberry cables.
American - Willie Wonka tips his hat to Mr. Blackeby, with all the Wonka classics in store. Grab Gobstoppers and Tootsie Rolls, Nerds and Warheads, taffy and Junior Mints, Pez, Pop-Tarts, and giant 10-pound bags of jelly bellies.
