Where are the Best Indoor Play Centres in Newcastle, NSW

If it's a rainy day and you're looking for somewhere to take the kids, then check out some of the indoor play centres around Newcastle. Depending on where you live, there will be somewhere close to you. If you live in Port Stephens take the kids to Spirited Café , if you live in Lake Macquarie or Maitland then check out Inflatable World, if you're near Rutherford then GravityX Indoor Trampoline Park is the place to be, Charlestown has Megamania and East Maitland has Kids Play World - just to name a few!

Where do you like to take your kids? If you are looking for something that is in the heart of Newcastle, then my daughter has two top picks that she requests all the time. Both are completely exhausting for her, but she loves every minute! These are listed below, but if you have another indoor play centre that your kids love better, then please leave a comment at the top of this article and it will be shown underneath for others to read. These are my daughter's top two picks - what are yours?



REVOLUTION SPORTS PARK - Maryville

This huge indoor play centre is located in Maryville, which is an industrial area just 5 minutes from the CBD. My daughter is obsessed with this venue each school holidays - but it is also busy with hundreds of other children so we try and get there at opening time to avoid the crowds! This huge venue is 4,600 square metres and has an inflatable play area, ninja course, trampolines, bubble soccer, dodgeball, trampoline basketball and more. There are a variety of options to pay for, depending on what your kids would like to do and how much time you have ( see the options here ). My daughter (age 11) is happy with 1 hour of trampolining only for $19, as 1 hour is usually enough! She loves the 26 metre-long trampoline to hop along. * Please note that there are height restrictions on all activities, so check the website carefully for what your children can do. If you have children under 120cm then there is a $7.50 charge for an adult to supervise. There is also a $3.50 charge for grip socks (which you can use again next time).

This venue is located in Cooks Hill, which is just minutes from the CBD. My daughter tried this venue for the first time in the last school holidays and loved it - she keeps asking to go again! Each session is 1 hour and it gives the kids plenty of time to go through all the obstacles at least twice. If your kids love Australian Ninja Warrior on television, they will love trying out the challenges for themselves. The warped wall is particularly popular!
