If you love your dips just as much as I do, then you may have been experimenting with making your own at home. I like making them myself, so I can keep the salt content low and know what ingredients are going into each one. I have been trying different recipes for guacamole and love each one - although my family and friends all have their own opinion on which ones are their favourites - and which ones I should never make again! Yes, everyone's a critic...
What is your favourite guacamole recipe? Do you like to add some chilli pepper for some extra heat, or do you have another secret ingredient that makes it so tasty? If you would like to share your secret, please leave a comment at the top of this article and it will be shown at the bottom, for others to read. These are the ones that I have been making, in the search for the best guacamole recipe...what's yours?
Spiced Guacamole - a creamy guacamole with sour cream and spices
2 avocados, skin removed and mashed
1 tomato (seeds removed)
1 clove garlic, peeled
1/4 red onion
1/3 cup fresh coriander
2 Tablespoon lime juice
1 Tablespoon olive oil
Pinch of cayenne pepper (or add more to taste)
Cracked pepper to taste
Add all the ingredients, except for the avocado, into the food processor and blitz until as fine as possible. Add the avocados and blend until smooth.
