I love visiting new and interesting places, trying different types of food and shopping for unique little things :)

Whether it is summer or winter, a delicious gozleme is always enjoyed. My husband and I have been faithful customers of the gozleme stand at the Surry Hills Market for more than 2 years. On the first Saturday of every month, the Surry Hills Market is set up at the Shannon Reserve and with this market comes the best gozleme you will every eat.

Being a great fan of the Turkish gozleme, my husband and I have tried many places. But most are either too oily or use stale vegetables or are just too expensive. This gozleme stand however has just the perfect preparation with just the right amount of oil used and fresh vegetables. Considering the huge number of people that queue up for a gozleme, this stand is managed very well and we have never received an order wrong or have had to wait more than a couple of minutes for our orders.

They have 4 varieties of gozlemes:

Cheese and Spinach ($8)
Vegetarian - Cheese, Spinach and Mushrooms ($9)
Combo - Cheese, Spinach and Beef($9)
Works - Cheese, Spinach, Beef and Mushrooms (10$)

So if you are craving a relatively in-expensive but delicious turkish gozleme, mark your calenders for the first Saturday of next month. You will definitely find my husband and I there, enjoying our favourite gozleme!

I love gozleme! Spinach and cheese is my favourite, so delicious drizzled with fresh lemon juice. I'll have to check this out and see if it lives up to the claim!

Orange Grove Markets in Leichhardt also have a Gozleme stand. They are my favourites. They have a few more flavours and are only $7.50. There is always a long line but they have a great system so it moves pretty quick.
