Adelaide has had some great pizza places open up recently to add to the old favourites, so say goodbye to the takeway pizza and step inside one of these restaurants.

EST Pizzeria - This tiny little restaurant on East Terrace boasts a pizza oven that takes up most of the ground floor, it has an amazing range of pizzas from mushrooms to black truffle and prawn. You can watch them being made if you get a seat downstairs. Out of the oven comes not only pizza but sweet delights too. There is no wine list simply tell the waiters what you like and they will make you a suggestion.

Melt Pizzeria - Melt in Hyde Park has just opened their 2nd restaurant on Waymouth St in the city. This funky tapas and pizza place sets the mood from the moment you step inside with low lighting and a mural that takes up the whole of the back wall. Choose from the tapas menu, I recommend the beans and anchovies and a great range of pizzas, try the broccoli and spinach, nobody will ever complain about eating their vegetables with this pizza.

Botanic Bar - You can't go wrong with the Botanic Bar, step inside and get cosy on one of the comfy leather lounges, admire the art work, sip on a cocktail and choose from a great range of gourmet pizzas from mushrooms to prawn and pesto. The best part is the pizzas are only $6 and they taste so good you will probably want to order two.
