Frozen yoghurt or otherwise fondly known as froyo is the new ice cream. It is the talk of town and you'll find a froyo shop or stall in almost every major mall.

The popular ones seem to be WOWCOW, Moochi and Noggi and they are heavily populated across Sydney.

Then there are the lesser known froyo shops like Yogolicious and Twisted Frozen Yoghurt that seem just as good.

Each shop has the same concept of frozen yoghurt in various cup sizes with added toppings of your choice, ranging from nuts, Gummi bears, chocolate chips, blueberries, strawberries, flakes and so on. You can even add sauces if toppings are not enough.

Toppings for you to choose from (image from

Prices vary according to the size of the cup and the number of toppings you choose, although some shops charge by weight, and there is even a new concept of self service. I discovered this in Yogo House, Strathfield, which is a very newly opened froyo shop to rival the already established Moochi and Noggi but unfortunately I couldn't find any information about it on the web.

Now Sydneysiders, I would like to hear from you.

Which do you think is the best froyo shop in Sydney?
It's time to speak out and make clear your favourite(s).
Which has the best toppings and flavours and overall value for money? Don't hold back on your comments!
I'm a new froyo addict and would like to know the best there is out there.

By far the best is 'smoyo on the go', a froyo delivery from smoyo frozen yogurt. Cheap delivery with so many tasty flavours. the first frozen yogurt delivery service in Sydney.

Newtown, defiantly! You have a variety of frozen yoghurt shops there. e.g - Wow Cow, Yoghurberry and some other Berry frozen yoghurt shop there but i forgot the name. I defiantly suggest 'Newtown' :) I hope this helped

House of Yogurt in Hurstville is the best frozen yogurt place ever! It's Self Serve with over 20 flavours and over 100 toppings. It has an amazing ambience; the best I've ever seen of any froyo place.
