Do you miss your fur babies when you go on holidays? Do you wish your dogs were with you when you enjoy a break from the daily grind? Well Best Friends Holiday Retreat has got you covered.

is a vacation for both you and your dogs. Situated in the Tarra Valley, 2 and a half hours drive from Melbourne and 15 minutes from the Gippsland township of Yarram, is the perfect mini break spot while also offering plenty to do if a longer stay is what you need to unwind.

The park is encircled by forest and a creek flows by just outside the gate. Plenty of birdlife is attracted to the park, no doubt helped along by regular morning feeds. In these surrounds it is impossible not to feel relaxed.

Accommodation at includes cabins where dogs are, of course, allowed inside. These cabins feature fenced yards so your dogs can be off their leashes, just like at home.

Camping sites are also available including a selection of fenced tent and caravan sites. Fire pits are provided in the caravan sites so you can have the true camping experience of warming your hands by the fire and roasting some marshmallows in the evening.

However the highlight of are the fenced play areas for dogs. There are 6 large areas, think football oval sized, so there are plenty of places for your pooch to sniff and explore or run after their favourite ball. The rules of the park also mean that others can't join you in the fenced area without asking first. This means that you don't have to worry if your best friend isn't the sociable type.

If your best friends enjoy an outing there is a dog beach only 30 minutes drive away. Woodside Beach, part of the famous 90 Mile Beach, is an off leash area where both you and your dog can enjoy a long walk and a dip in the ocean. Then when you get back to there is a free hydro bath to use to wash off all that sand and salt water.

There are also some attractions near by that are not suitable for your furry friends. Wilson Promontory Nation Park is a pleasant day trip and there are also golf courses and a winery close by. If a day without the fur babies takes your fancy there are luxury day dog kennels available for hire so you know that they will be well looked after while you are out. These kennels feature heating, a lounge chair and a TV. With facilities like this your canines won't even know that you are gone.
