Entertain the children for free
There is no need to "break the bank," entertaining the children these upcoming school holidays. There are numerous free activities and events, below are ten recommendations within Brisbane and Logan City.

Parkour Performances
3-15 April, 11:15am (Mondays - Wednesdays and Fridays - Sundays) and 7:35pm Thursdays (closed 9 April), Westfield Garden City

See the Parkour Twins, Dylan and Brodie Pawson perform daily. Watch them run, jump, flip and climb the Centre's custom-made parkour tower.
PLUS get to know the boys after each performance at a meet and greet.
Suitable for all members of the family, bookings not required.

Crystal Fossicking Fun
3-6 April, 11am-2pm, Logan Central Plaza

Enter the Discovery Dome and be transported into the underground realm, where you can unearth your very own crystals to take home!
The children will learn about crystal formation during an educational animated presentation. Each child will then take a unique container of gemstones from the miniature mineshaft, and use the light tables to discover the crystals inside.
Suitable for children 3 – 14 years, bookings not required.

Dinosaur Adventures
10-14 April, 10am-2pm daily, 4-6pm (12 April), Westfield Carindale

Step back in time and learn all about when dinosaurs roamed the earth at the Dinosaur Adventures activity zone.
Complete with 2 animatronic dinosaurs, kids can see these prehistoric creatures in their natural forest environment before digging for fossils at the workshops.

LEGO City Play Zone
9-13 April, 10am-1pm, Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown

Children can express themselves creatively and enjoy:
• Free build zone with a huge collection of LEGO pieces
• LEGO Height Challenge
• Accuracy Challenge (rebuild an object from memory)
• LEGO city iPad games
• Meet and greets with LEGO City Policeman
(20 minute sessions from 10am, 10.40am, 11.20am, 12pm and 12.40pm daily)

Interactive Marine Display & Shows
9-15 April, 10am-2pm daily, Grand Plaza

Discover the amazing world of under the sea with interactive touch tanks and stage shows. Get up close to a baby bamboo shark, sea stars, urchins and more sea creatures and let your little ones learn all about their favourite sea animals.
Daily presentations include: Human Impact (11am) and Shark Discovery (1pm).
Bookings not required.

Night Adventures
11 April, 6-7:30pm, Downfall Creek Bushland Centre

Enjoy a guided night walk and discover the wonders of the Raven Street Reserve after dark! Participants will walk 2 kms. The activity will continue in light rain.
Suitable for children 6 years and older (must be accompanied by an adult). Bookings via Eventbrite.

Superhero Workshops
3-6 April, 9-11:30am and 12-3pm, Westfield Chermside

From 9:00am to 11:30am, the little ones can get creative and decorate their own superhero colouring in. Then, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, join Bricks 4 Kidz to bring to life their particular superhero build.

Botanic Games
5 April, 10am-2pm, Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha

Come and tackle the obstacle course and test your athletic skills in the Botanical Games at the Fruit Orchard.
Suitable for children 5 years and older, bookings not required.

Go Wild for Science
6 April, 3-4pm, Wynnum Library

Presented by the Street Science team, this session will ignite the imagination and show wild demonstrations.
Suitable for children aged 6-12 years. Bookings essential via link above.

Circus Maze and Craft Fun
3-8 April, 10am-2pm, Forest Lake Shopping Centre

Explore the History of Circus maze to complete a new circus craft activity each day:
• Make your own juggling balls
• Have your face painted
• Make a swinging trapeze artist
• Bend balloons into an animal
• Make a clown tie or hat
• Make a twirling ribbon wand
