Here in Australia, we get to celebrate and show our appreciation for our mum's on the second Sunday in May of each year. This is the one day of the year were mum gets to put up her feet, sit back and be pampered and there is no better way to celebrate Mother's Day than to simply just spend the day with her doing her favourite activities. Even better if it is free or at minimal cost.

In my family, we like to just spend the day together, not doing very much at all but simply just being in each others company, in the one space for the day. Whatever your mum's favourite activities are, here is my pick for the best free activities to indulge your mum this mother's day.

Thorn Clarke Wines - Aussie Wine Month

Throughout the month of May, as part of Aussie Wine Month , Thorn Clarke Wines located at 266 Gawler Park Road, Angaston are offering tasting of select back vintage wines along with opening their museum. This is a great opportunity to take mum for a relaxing drive into the fabulous Gawler region and taste some pre-aged premium wines.

Entry is free, however why not treat mum to a fantastic gourmet platter to go with her tasting. Please call the Winery for further information or to book a platter.
