North of the city in Fitzroy, Carlton, Collingwood, and Preston are some great burger and drink specials.

The Provincial has a $10 burger and chips deal on Wednesdays. The Provincial is located at 229 Brunswick Street Fitzroy

Stolberg Beer Cafe offers $6 pints of any tap beer till 6pm. You'll find Stolberg at the corner of Bell Street and Plenty Road in Preston

The Evelyn Hotel has $2.50 pots of Globe Beer and is at 351 Brunswick Street Fitzroy.

Brandon Hotel sells $3 glasses of beer and a $4 house wine on Fridays from 5-7pm, with $7 pints on Sundays. Brandon Hotel is at 237 Station Street, Carlton North.

The Grace Darling Hotel serves up wagyu beef cheeseburgers with hand-cut fries for $9 on Wednesdays. The Grace is at 114 Smith Street Collingwood.

To the south of the city are the posh suburbs of South Yarra, Windsor, and Elsternwick, with St Kilda, Port Melbourne, and South Melbourne near the beach. Expect parma, steak, wine specials and more in these areas

Imperial Hotel cooks up $12 parmas on Wednesdays. Visit them at 522 Chapel Street in South Yarra.

Buddha's Belly has $6 pints from 4-7pm daily, and a $10 burger night on Tuesdays. They are at 75 Chapel Street in Windsor.

Richmond Club Hotel has $7 pints of Carlton Draught and other drink specials from 5-7pm Monday to Friday. The Hotel is at 100 Swan Street, Richmond.

Hotel Barkly has an American Night on Wednesdays with $8 burgers from 6-9pm. You'll also find $9.50 chicken schnitzel and $7 parmas all day Saturday. Hotel Barkly is at 109 Barkly Street St Kilda.

Prince Public Bar has $2.50 pots and $10 jugs of beer specials on Mondays and is at 29 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda.

Antique Bar offers $10 small pizza, with a pot of beer or glass of house wine. They are in Elsternwick at 218 Glenhuntly Road.

Hotel Albion servers $9 cheeseburgers on Saturdays at 146 Evans Street in Port Melbourne.

Lona St Kilda has $3 beer, wine or sparkling wine on Mondays and $2.50 beer on Tuesdays. They are at 64-66 Acland Street in St Kilda.

The Golden Gate Hotel has $10 steaks all week and they are at 238 Clarendon Street in South Melbourne.

Abbotsford and Hawthorn are just a touch east of the city and the local pubs there have some great beer specials.

Aviary Hotel has $14 jugs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 5pm and 8pm. Aviary is at 271 Victoria Street, Abbotsford.

Holy Moly has a range of specials including their Monday $12 jugs of beer, Tuesday $10 burger and pot of beer, and Thursday $6 pints and $6 pizzas. Holy Moly is at 660A Glenferrie Road Hawthorn.

The city centre also has sparkling wine, whisky, meal deals and after-work drink specials galore.

Chaise Lounge pours $4 sparkling wine from 4.30pm to 9pm Fridays, at 105 Queen Street (basement) Melbourne on the corner of Queen Street and Little Collins Street.

Fifty Five has a special for $3 pots and $6 pints on Mondays (until sold out). Get over to 55 Elizabeth Street (in the basement).

Highlander Bar has $5 Whisky Wednesdays and free comedy upstairs from 7pm. They are at 11a Highlander Lane Melbourne

Turf Bar has a range of $6 Pints, Wines, and Spirits, as well as $6 chips or wedges from 4-7pm on Fridays. Turf Bar is at 131 Queen Street in the city.
