I was shopping the other day and spotted these inexpensive kids' fishing rods and fishing tackle boxes. With Father's Day approaching, it got me thinking: Where is the best place to take kids fishing in Melbourne?
I have seen signage indicating that fishing is permitted in certain areas of Karkarook Park. Have you ever been?
I don't think I'd be too keen to head to the ocean docks, as my kids are pretty small; I'd worry about them falling over the side, or getting in the way of some "real fishermen".
Where are the Best Fishing Holes for Kids in Melbourne? Emerald Lake? Marysville Trout and Salmon Ponds? One friend online suggested Altona Pier and the various locations around Newport and Williamstown such as the "warmies" or the "willi breakwall".
