Farmers Markets are popular in the Gold Coast too, and so in answering this question, what would be classed as the best "Farmers Market," would it be the prices, or would it be because the range of different produce on offer? Would the produce also have to be organic? What about the frequency of the Farmers Market? In other words how frequently are they held to benefit the consumer?

There is a trend towards diets aligned with those of our ancestors, and hence having a regular market to buy some quality food from would help. That is, one where you can buy your weekly fruit and vegetables directly from the source. Yes, that would (indeed) help. We want consistency, not just a farmers market that pops up once a month, and disappears again for another month. Farmers markets on the Gold Coast are great relationship builders in many ways.

The Weekly Gourmet Farmers Market at the Marina Mirage on Main Beach is consistent all round. Held every Saturday from 7am to 11am. The early bird does catch the worm after all. Consistency in an opulent shopping and marina space, with ample car parking. In addition to the traditional fruit and vegetables, some organic dips are also available for purchase on such occasions. Other quality picks include shitake mushrooms, portobello mushrooms and king oysters.

The general consensus is (according to multiple positive reviews all round) is that this Famers Market spells quality. Updates are available on the Marina Mirage Facebook page. Papaya and gluten free bread anyone? Again the list is absolutely endless.

The Gold Coast Turf Club Farmers Markets is also consistent in quality and hours of operation. Held at the Bundall Racecourse every Sunday from 6am to 11am. Hosted by Your Local Markets , you're in really good hands.

Furthermore, the Gold Coast is really home to some quality organic fare. Welcome to pure organic heaven at the Miami State High School every Sunday from 6am to 11:30am, with generous parking facilities. Love their organic teas, and on their website you will come across some valuable and insightful (albeit timely) articles on topics such as the soy debate. It is important to know what goes into our food, and the Farmers Markets held at the Gold Coast are quite switched on in this regard.

Quite a few to try out, and I sincerely do believe they're all good from personal experience while spending some time on the Goldie.

All of the above mentioned markets are popular among both locals and visitors to the Gold Coast alike. Therefore, where is the best Farmers Market on the Gold Coast and why?
