More top ideas for you and your family in Mandurah
1. KING CARNIVAL
King Carnival is conveniently located on Mandurah's western foreshore and has been an entertainment icon in the area for over 60 years.

King Carnival offers a fabulous "fairground experience" and as with many other Mandurah attractions, has something for the whole family to enjoy.

They have an 18 hole mini golf course, and heaps of fun rides including the following:

Dodgem cars
Tillt a Whirl
Ferris Wheel
Bungee Trampolines
Super Skate
State of the art amusement arcade

There is also now a cafe on the premises, where you can get a casual snack as well as many of your favourite "goodies".

Entry to the Park is free, however, you pay for whatever you do inside the Park.

What could be more exciting for both a child or an adult than to see dolphins swimming along your boat!

You can explore Mandurah's stunning waterways on board one of the vessels, which includes a 90 minute Dolphin & Sightseeing Cruise and private functions.

You will go past fascinating canals and through the lovely, protected waterways of Mandurah where the houses are spectacular. You will often see wild dolphins, as well as heritage listed pioneer sites and vast wetlands full of different birdlife.

Mandurah Dolphin Tours is located an hour south of Perth, Western Australia in the Mandurah Ocean Marina.

4. MANDURAH INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING
Indoor Rock Climbing is certainly a fun thing for the whole family to have a go at ... not something I have ever done but it does look exciting, trying to get to the top.

Here, you can discover why rock climbing is becoming one of the fastest growing sports in Australia. With this hobby, it is a great way to build core strength if done regularly and is a laugh with friends. You do not need any experience to attend this indoor rock climbing as the staff will give you the necessary instructions to keep you safe and make sure you enjoy the adventure.

Entry for adults is $23, including hire of harness and slightly cheaper for children.

Miss Qs Pool & Entertainment Centre has two snooker tables, one 9 ball table, and 18 of the finest Pool Tables in W.A.

They cater for all ages offering an air-conditioned pool room, a fully licensed bar for the adults and video games for the kids. They also have all day specials, so that you can play pool all day or they have a lounge area to chill out in.

Their specialty is group bookings, so they can hold parties, functions and the like at reduced prices, while at the same time doing the catering for any of these events.

Bookings are required for an evening game and ordinary rates are from $16 to $20 per hour or $12.80 per hour for members with free pool every Friday between 5 pm and 7 pm.

6. MANDURAH STAND UP PADDLE HIRE
Mandurah SUP Hire allows people of most ages to enjoy the fun of "Stand Up Paddling" and you do not have to spend a huge amount to do this or buy a proper board.

You can enjoy this with your children (as per the photo below) and do it all alone - either way, SUP can provide great fun and excitement by catching waves.

It is also a great experience in calmer, smooth waters as you can move about in a slow and casual manner, enjoying the sights Mandurah has to offer.

Hire options are subject to suitable weather conditions, which at this time of year are generally perfect for this type of sport.

7. PEEL ZOO
Peel Zoo is a boutique, hands-on zoo, in a country acreage which lies on the banks of the famous Murray River.

At Peel Zoo you will get to feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a kangaroo, touch a ferret, pat an alpaca or two, and there are over 100 species of birds and animals that will enthral you, and these include:

Koalas
Wombats
Dingoes
Exotic birds
Reptiles
Bengal cats
Spotted quolls
Possums
Owls
To name but a few!

There is a huge walk-through aviary and Tasmanian Devils are star attractions in here and these are quite rare to see in a zoo nowadays.

You can bring a picnic lunch or use their free BBQs, but you will need several hours to see all there is.

8. TOURIST FUN TRAIN COMPANY
At this fun place, there are two Trains - The "Mandjar Bay Fun Train", or Mini Toot, which is for children big and small. This operates along the Eastern Foreshore of Mandurah and exactly opposite the children's play area.

The second train, "The Spirit of Mandurah" or Big Toot is the larger train for groups of up to 60 people and this one stops at ten different places around the City.

A great family fun experience for children as well as adults, and you can enjoy the views of the Mandurah foreshore and waters as you relax in one of these trains.

You can book tickets for these at the Visitors Centre in Mandurah or from the driver of the trains.

9. PINJARRA SUSPENSION BRIDGE
This pedestrian bridge crosses the banks of the Murray River and was opened in November 1985.

It's a fun place to be for the whole family and is located in the heart of Pinjarra, which is just a 10 - 15 minute drive from Mandurah.

It is in a quiet picnic area and is great if you bring along your own food, or there are plenty of cafes within a few minutes of the site.

This is a free and enjoyable place to be and one I have visited with children and adults alike many times.
