September not only marks the beginning of Spring but the beginning of a season filled with exciting family-friendly events and activities. Below is a list of the top fetes, festivals and markets in and around Brisbane.

Best on Show - Display Village Launch
1 September, 1:00-6:00pm, Providence

Celebrate the launch of Providence's brand new display village with amusement rides, games, live entertainment, markets and food trucks.

Special guests on the day include MC Ben Davis who will hold a Q&A session with Andrew Winter (Selling Houses Australia) and style gurus Michael and Carlene Duffy (The Block).

The evening will conclude with a fireworks spectacular.

Fathers Day at Sirromet 2018

Regents Park State School Spring Fair

Redland Strawberry Festival - Celebrating 60 Years

Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival

The 11th annual Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival boasts a 17 kilometre trail of scarecrows. Scarecrows are erected by 10:00am, 14 September. Click here for Scarecrow Trail.

The Scarecrow Spring Fare will be held 15 September, 10:00am-4:00pm, Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds (Main Western Road, Tamborine Mountain). Families can enjoy market stalls, rides, games, street performers, pig racing and food trucks. Gold coin entry fee.

The Scarecrow Lantern Parade will be held after this event, 4:30-6:30pm (Main Street, Tamborine Mountain). Bring a picnic blanket, settle down and watch a stream of scarecrow themed lanterns made by local school children.

Darlington Community Markets

Enjoy a family day trip to a traditional country market. Browse through an array of local fresh produce and wares, lunch at the on-site Vintage cafe and listen to live music. Children can visit the farm animals and participate in old-fashioned games.

Mud World Festival for Kids

Mud World Festival for Kids brings you two days of free-range and structured muddy play activities. The venue offers five distinct play areas including a mud village for toddlers and a giant mud pit, maze, slide and mountain range for children 2-14 years of age.

Muddy Wonderland Dance Party
