This is a call out to all of Sydney's dumpling lovers, we're looking for the best dumplings in Sydney and we need your help. We know that there are tasty dumplings served up every day, all over Sydney, but which ones are the best? If you've ever savoured a delicious dumpling then let us know where you found it. From dingy holes in the wall to high class restaurants, we don't care where you've found them, as long as they're good.
Din Tai Fung is one of Sydney's top dumpling specialists. Their most popular ones would have to be the Xiao Long Bao steamed pork dumplings. These are between $9-$11. To step things up you can try the fancier, and more expensive, crab meat, crab roe, and pork dumplings. These aren't cheap compared to most dumplings, but they're something different. The dumplings here don't stop at dinner, you can also try the steamed red bean or steamed taro dumplings for dessert.
Marigold are a popular place to head in the city for some tasty dumplings. Their specialty would have to be their delicious prawn dumplings, but there are plenty of others on offer. Marigold is a great place to head for yum cha, and along with tasty dumplings you'll find so many other delights to try.
Fisherman's Wharf may not sound like the type of place you head to grab a plate of dumplings, but don't let the name fool you. This seafood restaurant does a great yum cha, so you can enjoy dumplings along with a host of other yum cha favourites. Don't worry though, you can still grab them if you're heading here for dinner. Being a seafood restaurant, Fisherman's Wharf specialise in prawn dumplings and you can enjoy them steamed or fried.
