But if you're after the best dumplings in Adelaide, where do you go? We have no doubt there are countless places serving them up, but that doesn't mean they're any good.

One of the biggest names in Adelaide dumplings is of course Dumpling King. Characterised by large picture menus on the wall, plastic chairs, and that cheep and cheerful vibe, Dumpling King have certainly sated many cravings throughout the years. Typically you can choose between pork or chicken and prawn dumplings, then pick them steamed or fried. You can also spice things up a bit by throwing your dumplings in a hot and sour soup, or chili oil.
Dumplings R Us on Gouger Street have a pretty similar set up, right down to the same red chairs you find in the King William Street Dumpling King store. Or perhaps if you go further afield you agree with Bonnie that Gourmet Dumpling House up in Westlakes take the cake.
For dumplings with a difference check out Mandoo on Bank Street. Why are they different? Well mandoo is the Korean word for dumpling, so there is a distinct Korean twist. You can watch the dumplings as they're handmade by one of the friendly owners, each one feels like it's handled with a bit more care than you find at most dumpling joints. Make sure you try the kim chi dumplings, as long as you can stand a bit of spice, and of course all the regular flavours are there too. They also have a dumpling soup, but its flavours are a bit blander than soup options elsewhere.
