I escaped to Sydney over 11 years ago and haven't looked back since. I enjoy going to cafes, local markets and festivals, and finding the best views in town for free. Visit my twitter page: https://twitter.com/sydneyonabudget

I love a good doughnut. Sprinkled with cinnamon, or filled with jam and topped with icing sugar, it's a great treat to have every once in a while.

There are plenty of places to buy doughnuts, such as the local supermarket or the big chains (e.g. Donut King & Krispy Kreme) but I would like to find the creme de la creme of doughnuts in Sydney. And the more creative the better.

I've recently tried The Pig & Pastry cafe in Petersham which is worth a re-visit, with their delicious Nutella doughnuts. They also sell other pastries and sweets including a summer fruit meringue and heavenly cheesecake. But I'm still on the look-out for a divine doughnut.

Have you had a doughnut you'd like to brag about?
