Recently I found an amazing dog beach just north of Hillary Harbour called the Whtiford Dog Beach. The sand was soft, the water is shallow and it was a haven for dogs, dog owners, and animal lovers.

What I enjoyed about the beach was that dogs seemed to socialise almost better than people. There was also a portable dog wash which meant dogs can receive a double treat. With ample parking, meant you did not disappoint your fur-member by either having to wait in the car or driving out to find another parking spot. I could just imagine the psychological trauma a dog would go through by being just meters from beach and freedom, only to have it whisked away because of a lack of parking facilities.
The other factor I enjoyed, was that there were ample doggy bags and doggy bins. There is nothing more annoying that darting through 'land mines' left innocently by our canine friends.

Further south, closer to Fremantle, I saw another beach which seemed to be dog-friendly. Although I saw doggy bags, I did not see any other amenities. However, there was a huge stretch of free parking together with picnic benches and a multi-million dollar view.

In the opposite direction, further north of Perth, you can find Cervantes. I have seen dogs enjoy an Ocean Run while on my morning walk. I did not see doggy bags, however, there were bins and dog owners seemed to be well equipped.
While I happened to find these dog-friendly beaches, some by chance, it made me wonder how many other beaches are in Perth that welcomed dogs. Where is the Best Dog Beach in Perth?
