The days of dressing up as something frightening for Halloween or Friday the 13th parties are sadly disappearing. Superheros and cute devils seem to be taking over the Grim Reaper, zombies, Voodoo, and Vampires, though I prefer the fright.
Halloween: Jigsaw and Killer Clown
With most costume shops charging upward of $50 for only the outfit, DIY ideas are welcomed for trick or treating youngsters, as well as party-goer adults.
Here, I dressed as Jigsaw - a mask bought for $2:50, bow tie $2:50, crepe paper as a handkerchief $2:50, white gloves $5:00 bringing the total to under $15. The black jacket and white shirt borrowed from a friend, and black pants and hair, my own. My partner in crime went as a killer clown - his costume of suit, wig, mask, and accessories, costing a little under $50, bought from Uncle Bucks $2 shop on Chapel Street.
What are your most creative scary Halloween DIY costume ideas? Preferably ones able to be created with little money, time, and effort. Please share in the comments sections - instructions appreciated - we are on a mission to fright!
