Welcome. Here you can find the most unique, fun, traditional, tasty, wacky, historical, contemporary, discovered and undiscovered places, events, experiences and things to do.

Warehouses - they're large, cavernous and require more rambling and fossicking than your average shop. Given their size and the usually informal style of displaying their goods, you couldn't describe the ambience of a warehouse as "boutique" however if you're more interested in the shopping than the venue, then there are certainly some bargains to be had among their offerings.

In searching for the most bargain-laden discount warehouses in the western suburbs we've got some suggestions, however should you know of any that you think are great and should be included, leave a comment and let us know.

Spare Change

Spare Change have outlets around the suburbs and in a couple of country areas. In the west there are outlets in Footscray, Sunshine and Geelong. They sell furniture, homeware, fridges, washing machines, tools, stationery, party supplies, groceries and a whole lot more. While everyone is welcome, if you become a member you can receive further discounts. See here for a listing of their stores and addresses.

The GA Clearance Centre
(Nightingale Electrics)
2 Gordon Luck Ave, Altona North
Open 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays).

Tucked away in the backblocks is the GA Clearance Centre where you can buy pretty much anything from sunglasses to chainsaws.

It's a huge warehouse and they stock furniture, tools, whitegoods, toys, sporting goods, homewares, clothes, ornaments and more. In fact you can even buy a home (fitted out containers) and a tractor (should you have a really big veggie garden). Plenty of parking is available on site.

There's also Clearance Kingdom in Altona which offers a selection of groceries (lots of chocolate), nappies, personal and laundry care items, home and kitchenwares and clothes. What's available varies so see their Facebook page for updates of goods as they come in.

For sporting goods you might like to check out Paul's Warehouse in Sunshine.

Over to you. Tell us about where you think we can find the best discount warehouse with the best bargains in the west.

I like Treasure Hunters Variety 41 McIntyre Rd Sunshine North VIC 3020.
Also Importers Salvage Centre 614 Ballarat Rd Ardeer VIC 3022. This one also has a community market every weekend. These are my favorite warehouses.

Definitely Treasure Hunters on McIntyre Rd, Sunshine. A great range of foods and cleaning / personal care stuff in particular. I think you'd struggle to find cheaper prices on most of the range anywhere else.
