Let's begin with Amici Deli Italian Delicatessen, a gourmet foods destination, that is also home to possibly Brisbane's best espresso. Amici Deli is a cafe and fine foods destination rolled into one. Here you can find fresh meat, smallgoods and antipasto, pasta sauces and Italian cheeses and traditional cakes, sweets, biscuits and gelato.
Another great foodie destination is New Farm Deli and Cafe. As the tag goes - New Farm Deli and Cafe really is more than just a cafe; in addition to a fantastic menu, there is also a catering service and handy ready made picnic hampers, featuring a range of chesses, smallgoods, sweets and drinks, available for purchase. Black Pearl Epicure is another popular foodie destination, here you will find fresh truffles, foie gras, couverture chocolate, caviar and saffron.
Now I am guessing this is just the beginning of some great Brisbane foodie destinations, so now it over to you; fill us in on great Brisbane foodie hotspots - let us know where you can get all those wonderful delicatessen goods in and around Brisbane.
For a real deli no frills but everything to suit italians, spaniards, south americans then checo OIT pennisi's in belaclava street. Where else in Brisbane can you get norwegan bacalao? Believe me i have tried. Their chorizos (from sydney) are amazing - see for yourself - take a torch.
We have always been fans of Black Pearl, but were seriously disappointed with our visit last weekend. It is looking an awful lot like an outlet for Simon Johnson, with hardly anybody else getting a look in. Gone was the quirky selections that we were happy to pay for.
