You don't have to have mountains of money to experience your own day of luxurious escape. Many people save such days for special occasions like birthdays and weddings but I think we all deserve to feel like a princess or prince (that's right, day spas aren't just for women) anytime we feel like it and at a price that won't leave you broke.
The best doesn't necessarily mean the most expensive. When I say the "best" day spa I mean affordable yet luxurious with an outstanding service that leaves you feeling relaxed and beautiful from top to toe.
Here are some of the best day spas located on the Sunshine Coast that offer lavish surroundings, first-class beauty and body treatments, and a professional service at an affordable price.
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is one of the most relaxing places on the Sunshine Coast and one of my absolute favourite places. It is here, set amongst eight acres of rainforest and bushland in the Blackall Range that you'll find my favourite day spa, the luxurious Casa Di Natura which is Italian for 'House of Nature'.
This day spa is my top pick not only due to the location but because of their fantastically low priced day spa facilities package. For a mere $62 you gain full use of their comprehensive day spa facilities for 3 hours. Click here to see what the package includes.
For an extra charge, you can choose from several of their day spa services including luxury pamper packages, hen parties, massage and body treatments, facials and healing remedies performed by qualified Therapists. All current pricing is displayed on their website.
They also offer low-priced day spa and accommodation packages in conjunction with Montville Country Cabins. One is especially for couples called the "Ultimate Romance and Indulgence Package" for 2 (see current prices and details on their website). Some people prefer to experience the rush of adrenalin pumping activities like sky diving or bungee jumping as a form of escape but, without a doubt, this would be my ultimate choice for indulgence and relaxation.
Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm. You can find them at 144 Ensbey Road, Flaxton (next to Montville). For more information telephone 07 5478 6331, email email@example.com or visit their website.
The Aqua Day Spa at the prestigious Sheraton Noosa Resort aim to "create experiences that help you feel your best inside and out".
For a low $30 per person (ages 16 years and upwards only) you can spend a whole day relaxing in their aqua therapy centre and cleansing steam rooms. Additionally, choose from a selection of body, hand and feet treatments, professional massage and skin care services plus a range of spa packages (over 30 beauty and body treatments available). Most treatments are priced under $100.
It is recommended you call ahead of time to make an appointment. Group bookings and gift certificates are available. Located at 14-16 Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, spa opening hours are 7 days per week, 10am to 7pm. For more information phone 07 5449 4777, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their website.
Distinguishing themselves as "the essence of Africa", the Asante Day Spa located in the heart of Coolum Beach offers patrons a range of beauty and body treatments including massage, facials, spa packages, brow and lash, waxing, tanning, nails and make-up services.
The services are a little pricier than the other day spas though I believe this is because of the unique African style that is prominent throughout their treatments. As stated on their website, "the exclusive Asante spa rituals are performed in total darkness under twinkling candlelight". While most day spas provide you with a customary white towelling robe, at the Asante Day Spa you'll be given a beautiful leopard print sarong (for the spa) as keeping with their African theme.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6.30pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm. Located at Shop 5, 7-13 Beach Road, Coolum Beach, bookings are essential. Telephone 07 54465229 or email email@example.com.
