There are many fantastic day spas in Adelaide that offer relaxing and indulgent treatments. In fact, there are so many that when the time comes to book a therapeutic massage, rejuvenating facial, or to purchase a gift certificate for someone special, it can be difficult to decide where to go.
To make the task a little easier, here are a few favourites. Of course, it will be different for everyone, so please share your thoughts and let's compile of list of the best day spas and spa treatments to be found in Adelaide.
With a wet area featuring a lap pool, steamy saunas, and bubbling spas, the Spa on Brougham is one of very few true day spas experiences to be had in Adelaide, with hydrotherapy available as well as massage and beauty therapy.
It's discreetly located within the exclusive Place on Brougham apartment complex at North Adelaide and is open Tuesday to Saturday with extended trading hours on Wednesday night. Pure Fiji, Oligodermie, and South Australia's very own Janesce are the products of choice here.
The Spa on Brougham is, however, one of the more expensive day spas around. A one hour massage, for example, costs $100, add a body scrub or wrap to that and it adds up. Rest assured though that the price represents the quality of the treatment and the luxuriousness of the establishment.
Located on Hutt Street, The Pear Day Spa is serenity in the city. The extensive menu includes a combination of facials, body treatments, and manicures and pedicures with products like Glo Therapeutics and Hydro Peptide. There are more advanced clinical treatments available too, including skin peels and microdermabrasion.
The stylish spa is open from Tuesday to Saturday and has a treatment room for couples and plenty of space for group bookings. For the sake of comparison, a one hour massage is priced at $90, but be sure to check the website or Facebook page before booking because there is usually a special of some sort available that provides excellent value for money.
For noticeable results and friendly service, book a treatment (or series of treatments, as the case may be) at Beaute Aroma on Brighton Road at Hove. It's a little less luxurious than those previously mentioned, but it's comfortable, welcoming, and priced accordingly. A one hour massage, for example, costs $80 and there are quite reasonably priced skin rejuvenation packages available.
The products of choice at Beaute Aroma are Fleur De Mer and Algologie and the treatment menu includes spa retreats, massage therapy, beauty services, and even bridal packages. It's open from Tuesday to Saturday and has extended trading hours twice a week.
Of course, as Australia's largest day spa network, there's almost certainly an Endota Day Spa nearby offering an array of massage and body treatments, organic and Dermalogica facials, manicures and pedicures, and so on.
Treatments, prices, and trading hours vary somewhat from spa to spa, but many are open seven days a week with after hours appointments available. Each Endota Day Spa provides the highest standard of professionalism and quality, which is reflected in the price list and makes it one of, if not the most expensive option.
A one hour massage, in this case, costs around $100, but most treatments begin with a warm foot bath, which is a welcome inclusion. It's a great choice for group bookings and Endota gift certificates are always very well received.
