Where's the Best Customer Service in Melbourne?

Eye contact, friendliness, being patient and showing an understanding is what I consider to be fantastic customer service. I guess I consider myself a little bit of an expert when it comes to good customer service skills. I currently work at a university library, assisting students with day to day library queries. To excel at my job, I must always demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Experiencing satisfying customer service can make a dining experience or shopping experience much more enjoyable. Recently I have started taking notice of the customer service I have received when either dining out or making purchases both over the phone and in person.

Lately, I have experienced fantastic customer service from a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. Therefore, I thought I should share these experiences with the readers and writers on Weekend Notes.

Apple Retail Store (Chadstone) and Online Store

Recently I purchased an iPhone 5 via their Apple Online Store. I made the purchase over the phone. The Apple representative who placed my order demonstrated outstanding customer service skills. He was extremely attentive, making sure I purchased the correct iPhone data capacity to suit my needs. Over the past year, I have made other purchases from Chadstone's Apple Retail Store and Online Store and every single time, the customer service was amazing.

Hog's Breath Café (Watergardens and Highpoint)

I have visited both the Highpoint and Watergardens Hog's Breath Cafes'. Both stores have excellent customer service. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted with a friendly smile and a 'welcome Hog's Breath Café'. The waiter/waitress is very patient. They understand that it is hard to make your mind up when confronted with so many scrumptious options. Also, they help by making suggestions by explaining their most popular items, which customers enjoy.

Do not be intimidated by the flashy entrance and Tiffany & Co. representative who opens the door for you. The representatives have a laid back attitude and are easy going. When I walked into the store, I was blown away by the amount of pretty bracelets and necklaces. It took me a while to make my mind up which bracelet or necklace I wanted. The representatives were patient, which made me feel like a valued customer.
