Where's the Best Curry House in Perth

If you love a spicy curry and authentic Indian flavour then finding a good curry house is essential. Indian cuisine is very diverse and every region has its own unique dishes so different restaurants can have different dishes on offer. There are a whole lot of Indian restaurants in Perth but which one is the best?

The Royal India in West Perth has been around since 1986 and is still going strong. They produce an extensive array of dishes including the ever popular Rogan Josh and Tandoori Chicken but the specialty of the house is Goat Curry.

The Maharaja Indian Restaurant in Nedlands, near the Windsor Theatre, specialises in North Indian cuisine. Their menu is large and varied with the usual favourites like Butter Chicken, Beef Korma and Chicken Tikka.

The Maya Indian Restaurant in the heart of Fremantle is a bit of a landmark and has been open since 1996. Their menu is extensive and they have a great range of entrées which include Aloo Tiki and Galub Jamuns which is served hot with a dash of Grand Marnier.

2 Fat Indians Restaurant has two branches - one in Cottesloe and one in Mt Lawley. You will find the usual dishes on the menu but they have some different options such as their signature dish Tandoori Sholay.
Annalakshmi on the Swan has been serving up home-style, Indian, vegetarian food for over a decade. This popular restaurant is run mainly by volunteers and you can eat all you like and pay what you feel is a fair price.

The Curry Club in Hilton, the Bombay Palace in Como, Madras House in Alfred Cove or Chutney Mary's in Subiaco are all very popular restaurants serving top-notch tasty Indian cuisine.

Maybe you would like to try the Cinnamon Club in Leederville, Red Turban in Cannington or the 7 Spices in Applecross.

Most Indian Restaurants do dine-in or take-away options so if you dont fancy eating out you can always take the tastes of India home to enjoy.

They say that a good Curry House is like a Good Curry, it takes patience and time to perfect. Some of the best Curry Houses have been around for a long time so perhaps this is true.
