Melbourne is home to some delightful Crêperies - there is
Fräus Crêpes & Chocolat in North Melbourne, Crêperie Le Triskel in the CBD and
Choix Crêperie Cafe Bar , also in the CBD, but one of my favourite spots is
Roule Galette French Crêperie . Located in Scott Alley, 241 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, this cafe/bar serves both savoury galettes and sweet crêpes.
Some of the highlights of the extensive menu include the Forestière Galette (béchamel sauce, bacon, mushroom and cheese), the Chêvre Galette (goats cheese and spinach) and the Escargot Galette (snails in white sauce with garlic and parsley) (I prefer the savoury options to the sweet). You can browse the enticing menu
here . Prices range from $4.00 to $18.00 and some of the menu items are also available for takeaway. It is also worth noting Roule Galette also hosts live music events on the first Friday of each month from 6pm to 8:30pm.
(On a side note; if you prefer Japanese style crêpes
Harajuku Crêpes in Melbourne Central is another winner).
