When it comes to coffee, only the best will do
Australia's coffee culture is a growing and thriving industry. From the advent of the tongue-in-cheek avo-latte, to the perfectly constructed flat white, 2017 has brought with it a new era in coffee making.

I consulted with some unapologetic coffee lovers on the places they go when they need their next caffeine hit. The art of a good coffee can seem a tricky thing, but the baristas behind these Perth cafes have mastered it. So whether you tend towards the classics, or like to stay ahead with the trends, below is a list of some of the top rated coffees in Perth. I've also included some of the best bean suppliers, for those who prefer to make their own.

- Chalkys Espresso Bar in Freo
A funky Fremantle cafe, with latte art that is only surpassed by the flavour of their perfectly brewed beverages.

- Max and Sons in CBD -
This CBD cafe has a fine collection of talented baristas, meaning you'll never be disappointed, not to mention the very cute space in which to drink it.

- Sprolo, South Perth.
Sprolo's house roasted coffee is to die for, and so is their great selection of delicious and healthy treats.

- BOLT Coffee Roasters, Guildford
If you take your coffee seriously, you'll be in good company at Bolt. Here it's all about the coffee experience, with a small selection of snacks to help you enjoy.

- BOOespresso, CBD
Want to share that love of coffee with your best friend? This hole-in-the-wall cafe offers a puppacino, so no one misses out on their incredibly good coffee. What's a puppacino? Frothed up goat's milk, sprinkled with beef and chicken liver treats. The cafe operates from just a single window, with a grassy area to relax, and a dog park across the road.

- Karibu Cafe, Subiaco
If you haven't heard of Bulletproof coffee, Karibu Cafe will be happy to introduce you. They're specialists of this power coffee, which is part of their passion for the Ketogenic lifestyle. Into the latest health and diet trends? Head over for a taste of this cult coffee trend.

For the best beans suppliers, the following brands will provide all the flavour sensation you could ask for:
Blacklist coffee beans (if you have any doubts just go ahead and try a Sprolo coffee)
Five senses Coffee beans. They have so many different flavours, and they feature totally gift-worthy packaging.
The Roastery. The unassuming name says it all. Roasting is what they do, and they do it well.

Perth is full of so many great cafes, whether it's the coffee, the food, the decor or the fact that you can bring along your dog. If you love these places, give this article a heart, and comment on anywhere you've found that special brew.
