Melburnians love there coffee; seriously we are mad for coffee. I personally cannot pick a favourite - there are far too many great establishments in the CBD alone, such as Pellegrini's Espresso Bar, 65 Degrees Cafe and Brother Baba Budan.

Melbourne's best coffee is always a hot topic on WeekendNotes, in fact just recently WeekendNotes writer Nathan Lai explored celebrated coffee establishments such as Proud Mary in Collingwood and Batch Espresso in St Kilda. Other Melbourne establishments detailed on the website include The Green Grocer in Fitzroy North and St. Ali Coffee Roasters in South Melbourne, both of which were reviewed by WeekendNotes writer Joanna Lamb.

Now you have heard our top picks, it is over to you dear readers - where are your top coffee spots and what defines a great cup of coffee for you?

A cute new cafe in Moonee Ponds called Garden Tuscany. Their house blend coffees are of outstanding quality.

Pellegrini's Espresso Bar, I love the atmosphere. You can go there by yourself and you can start a conversation with the person sitting next to you.

Andy's in North Essendon (Mt Alexander Road). The best tasting coffee I have ever had - order a "large" and get an extra shot in your coffee instead of just extra milk and the service is uber friendly. You'll never go anywhere else.
