Bar 9 on Glen Osmond Rd. Groovy vibe, friendly and knowledgable service. These guys not only know their coffee; they love to make it too.

This place is so popular that they've had to move across the road to a much larger area to accommodate all their customers.

Support hudsons coffee as they support fair trade coffee beans which means all the workers that work so hard to harvest the beans actually make enough money to live :D

I have to vote for Coffee Branch. I stopped drinking coffee for many years, but Coffee Branch was enough to put me back on the stuff! It also comes very highly recommended by my known coffee connoisseurs.

I agree Natasha! I love Coffee Branch on Leigh Street in Adelaide, it has the absolute best coffee. The only place I have ordered a latte and not needed to add any sugar, their baristas are masterful. I love that it is squeezed into that tiny little space too, it feels very Melbournian! Last time I went I had a doorstop and the bread was super soft.

So far, the coffee in The Advertiser building in Adelaide and the nice cafe lido just across from the mall. Otherwise, the Art Gallery serves a good coffee in a lovely relaxed environment.

Glenelg has a few great cafes as well. Including the one in the shopping mall with the organic coffee and great service.

Theres a boy who works there who looks the spitting image of my grandfather at that age. I didnt ask if he was a relative, but great coffee and lovely polite service.

avilla coffee in Hindmarsch Sq Ahhh, their coffee makes my morning. They use the Campos coffee beans & you always get consistently great coffee - in any style. I drink espressos and macchiatos - the espresso is always smooth and never bitter. My partner drinks caps and says the milk is always creamy and never burnt.

Have to say, Coffee Branch, Sazon, Coffee Barun and Taylors Blend all do great things. But Bar 9 is by far the best.

Great friendly and helpful staff, huge range of different brewing devices and the best coffee in Adelaide.

By all means check out the others, they're each doing good things but IMHO Bar 9 clearly comes out on top for best coffee.

Paddy's Lantern on Gilbert St in city is great, excellent coffee (try the one coffee, 2 ways option!), and the staff are lovely, some of the friendliest I have come across.

But first and foremost, my vote goes to Bar 9, because they not only have fab coffee, great staff but also brilliant food.

There is a great little newcomer on Magill Road St Morris called Little Eastern Cafe where Abdoullah does brilliant coffee using Dimattina beans from Melb. Also Uncle Alberts in Norwood is great (D'Angelo coffee)
and Caffetecca in Tynte St North Adel. is always great and of course Bar9 is always good

Argo on The Parade gets heaps of votes from heaps of people! Cafe Palazzo on The Parade too - consistent service, consistent coffee (Vittoria Oro - ummmm). Cafe Buongiorno on The Parade again; in the mornings, it has a clutch of elderly Italian gents who meet there for their Macchiatos and klatsch. Java lifestyles??? in Newton - chocolatey coffee and loads of antique coffee mills and grinders on shelves, and again, the old Italians meeting up there for their caffees - always a good sign. Also, just discovered a new girl is working at Stax, in the city... coffee to die for and she's chatty and friendly, at peak hour too! Hardworking Iranian man in Saporito's coffee bar on Currie. Immaculately kept coffee bar, chatty barista, who knows all his regular customer's coffee tastes and even remembers the irregular customers preferences. I attest to this. You want strong without double shot - you got it!

It may not be well known, but Sully's On Semaphore has the best coffee that I've had.

Smooth coffee, creamy milk, with a hazelnut aftertaste.

I'm no coffee expert but their coffee just has perfect flavours.

GG's Cafe in Dulwich has fantastic coffee - I like it black and on the strong side and they get it right every time. It's hard to hide poorly made coffee behind milk and froth with a long black so I can safely say its the best coffee going around.
