One of the best things about Christmas decorations would have to be the Christmas lights. The pretty, twinkling lights certainly make everything feel all 'Christmassy'.

Of course the City of Perth, and the City of Fremantle always put on lovely Christmas light displays and it is now almost traditional for houses to be decorated but where are the best Christmas lights in Perth?

Lots of houses in Perth are being decorated for Christmas and some people turn their whole front garden into a beautiful Chistmas Grotto.

Some householders go to a great deal of trouble and spend hours putting up a fantastic arrangement at Christmas. They use thousands of little twinkly lights and make beautiful elaborate displays full of colour, lights, music and decorations that are really works of art. They are lovely to look at and people travel from far and wide just to admire their work.

These Christmas light displays are very festive and full of Christmas spirit. It's fun to hop into the car and drive around looking at the decorated houses. The kids love it and so do the adults - and best of all it's free.

There are several websites that list the best houses to visit, these websites are still being updated with 2012 houses so keep checking on them for full details.

Chanel Seven Perth usually has a 'Perth's Christmas Lights Showcase' segment, letting us know the area's to visit. There is a facebook page called 'World's Best Christmas Lights' which showcases a house in Churchlands that decorates each year and raises money for charity. There is a website called 'Oz Christmas Lights - Perth' which lists decorated houses or where you can register your own lighting display.

If you know of a house, a street or even an area that has fantastic Christmas lights and decorations let us know and everyone can go and take a look.

So, tell us now, where are the best Christmas lights in Perth?
