These establishments are great to visit at anytime of the day, but usually cater for the evening crowd. Some of the unique Brisbane Chocolate and Dessert Cafes which come to mind include Cocoawoo Coffee and Chocolate (68 Charlotte St Map Brisbane, QLD 4000), Freestyle Tout Dessert Restaurant (50/1000 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, QLD 4006 and Corner of Browning, Melbourne and Boundary Street West End, QLD 4101) (read the Weekend Notes review here), Mud Dessert Bar (190 Oxford St Map, Bulimba, QLD 4171) (read the Weekend Notes review here) and Max Brenner Chocolate Cafe (Stanley Street Plaza, South Bank QLD 4101) (read the Weekend Notes review here).

I have lived in Brisbane my whole life (32 years). My absolute FAV place for anything chocolate is Mud Dessert Bar on Oxford Street, Bulimba (next to Mary Ryan's bookstore). Try the Mars Bar & Tonka Bean brulee with Churros. Another favourite of mine is "Death by chocolate" ;-) I love that they are always adding to the menu and - and they also do sinfully divine cocktails! Try Surreal Storm, Mojito or Cookies & Cream Martini!
Lady Marmalade Cafe in Stones Corner is pretty special. I just had the Gringo Baked Eggs and they are simply amazing. The coffee is spectacular as well. I recognise the barista from when I was living in Melbourne and the cooks look awefully like a couple of MKR contestents... highly recommend!
