Where's the Best Children's Playground in Sydney?



Just go to some Sydney parks (mainly the deserted ones) and you will find that the playground just has a swing and a roundabout. Or the park could have an abundance of swings for children to play on, yet they might be looking tired and worn out and in some need of some urgent maintenance.

When I refer to children's playgrounds for the purposes of this article, I am also referring to any playground for children to play in and enjoy, not just playgrounds at public parks. Children's playgrounds for the purposes of this discussion, can also include school playgrounds and party/playground centres where there is a charge to access such playground facilities.



This playground has come a long way thanks to the completion of the second Iron Cove Bridge . This was the playground I visited as a child, and it was sad to see the same playground transformed into a construction site until just under a year ago when this playground at Sydney's King George Park was re-named Constellation Playground .

It is so great because there are lots of different swings with monkey bars, and a BBQ area for families with shady areas. Seats are nearby for parent supervision. It is a 'playland', which children just don't want to leave.
