Kids birthday parties are always remembered, but finding the right location can be a challenge. Over the years we have learnt that people don't like to travel more than 30 minutes for the party. Party venues also have to be reasonably cost effective and fit into an average family budget.
It is a good idea to look for a business that has more than one venue. However, this is not always possible. Ideally, it would be great to find a venue that supplies food and party bags, which not only takes stress off preparation, but allows to focus on one thing - the birthday child!
Laser Tag Laser tag is one idea for a fun birthday, but it would be mainly for kids of age 9 . There are some great indoor and outdoor laser tag venues right across Perth. This type of venue is great for a bit of run around, losing all the energy from the past meal (cake).
Roller Skating is making its way back as the next trend. It is a great venue for kids of all ages. Some roller skating venues have their own party room and the choice of self-catering or fully catered. All roller skating venues provide skate hire, for birthdays, food may be available at some venues.
Ten Pin Bowling Like roller skating, ten pin bowling is great for all ages. For those little ones who can't pick up a bowling ball, there are ramps for them to slide down, and barriers will be set up for them and the side of the alley. Some Ten pin bowling venues offer a party host and goody bags.
The Cinemas Movies can be a great party venue for kids who just want to lay back and have fun. The cinemas are pretty basic as they offer food, but it is not included in a movie ticket. It would be a great idea to go to a nearby café or take away to have your food there, as the cinemas do not let cake into the venue, unless they offer party catering options. Most cinemas have a game zone where the kids can be entertained for a while.
Rock Climbing Rock climbing is great fun for the sporty kids. This venue would be ideal for the older kids, but younger children are welcome to go as well. Before sending out the invitations, tell all kids to wear closed in shoes.
Indoor Rock Climbing can be a very adventurous party to be had by all. (photo courtesy of climbfit.com.au)
