For more than 100 years, the German Club has brought the delightful beers and delicious foods of Germany to Brisbane residents (our reviewer Jacqui Scheider enjoyed the authentic and tasty German fare while S Lynn raved about the huge variety of beers). When it comes to schnitzel, they're the easy OG. Their schnitzels are crunchy, juicy, and the size of a human face and you can grab two for one on Tuesdays.
The Bavarian aims to offer it's customers three things - good beer, good food, and 'bucket loads of fun'. Although not quite as authentic as the German Club, the Bavarian has locations all around Australia - in Queensland, you'll find them in Brisbane City, Chermside, and The Barracks. They also offer a two for one schnitzel deal on a Tuesday night.
Popular Southside pub, Fitzy's Loganholme, serves up crumbed chicken specials in its newly renovated al fresco dining area The Terrace. Every Wednesday, punters can grab a chicken schnitzel for $15 or a chicken parmi for $18. Bookings are essential and can be made through the Fitzy's website.
The Salisbury Hotel also offers chicken schnitzel and parmigiana specials but this location, also on the southside, doesn't limit your choice to the coins in your pocket. On Tuesday nights, both the schnitzel and the parmi are $16. They've also got a parmi challenge - finish a 1 kilogram chicken parmigiana with chips and salad to win a $25 venue voucher. The parmi challenge parmi is $39 and the cost is refunded if you finish it.
And if you prefer a parmi to a schnitty, the Bonny View Hotel at Bald Hills runs a parmi and pot of local beer for $20 special every Tuesday night. Tuesday night is also free trivia night at the Bonny View.
