This hip little outside hotspot is an extension of Trak Cycles, and a key spot to stop at if your out for a cycle as they have wall brackets on which to hang your bike – which then turns into a part of the décor, as the bikes hanging there tend to get admired by all. It's simple, and yet has that ,you could be anywhere in the world' vibe which I love, the coffee pretty good and the best breakfast I've tried so far is the poached eggs with smashed avocado and feta on sourdough bread. The place is happening on the weekend, even though it's outside and it's cold, thankfully the outside heaters, small size and popularity of the place keep people pouring back. Website

This is tucked away down a side street of Greenhill road, so much so that I almost missed it. Nice modern and fresh, I couldn't believe the amount of locals people popping in from the surrounding offices to get their morning fix of coffee. The coffee needless to say was good, and while they didn't have the gas with which to poach my eggs they did let me have scrambled eggs Florentine, which sounds a little dubious yet taste pretty amazing. The desserts all looked amazing, if only I had the room, I'll definitely be back to try a few. I also loved the relaxed local atmosphere which instantly made you feel at home, and the staff were also uber friendly. What a find!

GG's Café,
I was recommended this place while in the IGA, funnily enough, otherwise I would have completely missed it. It's part of the little shopping village on corner of Dulwich ave and was jammed when I went there on a Sunday afternoon with anyone and everyone living nearby popping in for some coffee, cake or brunch. The cakes looked especially amazing and are on the list to try when I get back there but for now I tried the full vegetarian breakfast that didn't disappoint. It was huge with roasted mushrooms, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, grilled halloumi cheese on sourdough. Let me tell you, it's such a treat to see vegetarians being catered for. There was a great selection for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, and I already know I'll be trying the eggs florentine on my next visit! The produce was all local fresh, free range produce – I also always appreciate seeing small business supporting local small business - it's what makes it all work. Service was also just impeccable, this was a true gem and highly recommended.
