Best places to eat breakfast in Sydney in the warmer months

Breakfast at Chez Dee, Potts Point

This article is dedicated to many of my new Sydney friends and acquaintances who constantly ask me "Where is the best place to have Sunday brunch?" or "Where is a great place to enjoy a hearty hot breakfast?" Therefore, their wishes have been granted through some of the top places that I have recommended to these people as of late. There is something memorable about each of these experiences, and from the extra subtle things that make the world of difference.

1. Gowings Bar and Grill

Their blueberry pancakes are something unique. If you're someone who loves organic food, then you've come to the right destination. Style, chicness and finesse is the order of the day at the newly opened QT Hotel in the heritage listed State Theatre Building. This restaurant is a brunch hot spot that has been named in honour of a long serving clothing store that was back in vogue in the 80's and 90's. Stunning decor with an open planned kitchen. The breakfast (within a five-star hotel facility) was actually quite affordable. Feel free to read up on one of my recent experiences here.

2. Chez Dee Cafe

Parisian paradise. It is easy to get really comfortable and feel like you're at home here. The upstairs area boasts some comfortable couches with an abundance of colourful pillows. Be spoilt, be pampered. Chez Dee has given the area it is based in a subtle facelift, a new lease on life. It would be a waste if you did not go for their signature breakfast dish while you're here. Enjoy eggs on toast on a bed of mushrooms with the most delicious hollandaise sauce in Sydney. This is $14.50 well spent.

3. One on 1 Bar & Brasserie

For buffet breakfasts, the price is surprisingly cheap. Head inside to the Radisson Hotel & Suites right near Darling Harbour, and a variety of juices, hot food and pastries await your taste buds. Piping hot, fresh and flavoursome food is found here. Welcome to the One on 1 Bar & Brasserie.

4. Bistro Fax Restaurant & Bar

If you would like to enjoy a buffet breakfast in opulent settings, then enjoy a full buffet breakfast at the Bistro Fax Restaurant & Bar at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sydney. You choose the way you wish for your eggs to be cooked, and the dedicated chef will even deliver it to your table. If you're a bacon lover, bacon is cooked to the way you like it here. You're spoilt for choice, therefore come here with a decent appetite to fully enjoy the experience. Banana smoothies and Yakult probiotic drinks are also included.

5. The Bean Rozelle Cafe, Bar & Bistro

Think big, remember the big bean and you will be set for a breakfast that will carry you throughout your busy day. If you love your mushrooms, a decent bowl sized serving of them are included in your big breakfast, together with bacon, sausage and eggs on toast. The hot tomatoes are smashing. With great company, even better. Click here to read more.

6. Rosebud Restaurant

Home to the popular organic eggs on your choice of bread. Go for the sourdough. The relish is great to spread on your toast. Otherwise, their eggs benedict on a brioche is also a great treat. If going for the latter, it is worth going for the smoked salmon at Rosebud.

7. La Grand Bouffe Restaurant

Exotic French Toast at La Grande Bouffe

For some delightful French toast without being overly indulgent, La Grand Bouffe is your breakfast destination. Moist toast with syrup and walnuts is overly delightful without the guilt. A home like ambience is enjoyed here.

8. Piccolo Padre Rozelle

Amazing, hearty big breakfast is enjoyed at Piccolo Padre in Rozelle. You will be full for a while. If you want to opt for a lighter option, then their banana bread is worth devouring.

That first picture of the poached eggs looks delicious. I also like their plates. Quite a cute choice.

Good luck with the comp... again. :)

Those pancakes look interesting. They're so thick, the look more like slices of wholemeal bread.
