The Travel Café by Whitestar Travel / 163 Glenayr Ave.
Feeling a wave of wanderlust coming on? Head to this
colorful café for all your travel inspiration needs. Browse through old issues of National Geographic, treat yourself to a Lonely Planet guide or grab a complimentary brochure to leaf through later. Free WiFi makes this spot the perfect place to settle in with your laptop and a beverage of choice. Don't feel like toting your own computer? No problem - just use one of the café-provided iPads, ideal for flight searches and itinerary planning. There's even an on-site travel specialist ready to help should you make the decision to turn your plans into reality. Breakfast and lunch also available. Open daily 8 a.m. 'til 4 p.m.
Gould Street Deluxe / 45 Gould St.
Located a few blocks away from the busier streets of Bondi,
Gould Street Deluxe is well worth the detour. Having just opened its doors in May of this year, you couldn't ask for a more aesthetically pleasing place to refuel. The relaxed and inviting style begs to be documented - Instagram, anyone? If you're in the mood for more than a beverage, their food menu won't disappoint, either; they'll even deliver if you're located within 1km. Check in weekly for their rotating Sunday roast special. Open 7 a.m. 'til 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. 'til 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
La Piadina / 106 Glenayr Ave.
This tiny spot packs a punch. Owned by three Italian brothers, the coffee should not be skipped. Squeeze in on a weekend morning for a great brew and an even better atmosphere. If you're hungry, grab a
piadina , the Northern Italian flatbread specialty the restaurant is named for. Adding to their already character-filled locale, they also welcome a new artist to decorate the outside of the shop each month as part of Max Malev's Activated Walls street art project. Open Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Lilliputien / 112a O'Brien St.
Look quickly and you might mistake this
unique café for an antique shop. Mismatched furniture and vintage teacups complete the well-worn but lovely feel. Take advantage of the outdoor seating to soak up the sun and enjoy the peace and quiet of being slightly removed from bustling Hall Street. In case your sweet tooth needs satisfying, they bake their own pastries daily, and there are several breakfast dishes and sides on offer as well. Open 6:30 a.m. 'til 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. 'til 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Porch and Parlour / 110 Ramsgate Ave.
Come for the coffee, stay for the view…and the eggs. Situated near the north end of Bondi Beach, there aren't many spots more picturesque to enjoy a meal, and there's a reason it's rare to be seated without a wait at this
popular local joint , open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always a huge plus, the staff is super friendly. Too busy to stay? Grab one of their delicious coffees to go and head down to the beach to enjoy it there. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. 'til 3 p.m., lunch 12 p.m. 'til 3 p.m. and dinner 4:30 p.m. 'til 10 p.m.
