The WeekendNotes Melbourne team have reviewed quite a number of Melbourne beaches; Lakes Entrance was recommended by Julia Hebaiter, Quinn B highly regarded Frankston Beach and Natasha Abrahams was also pleased with Chelsea Beach. Anjali Behl uncovered some of Melbourne's 'hidden beaches,' for example Pearse's Beach, Kitty Miller Bay and Merricks Beach as well as detailed some popular beaches, such as Brighton Beach, Port Melbourne Beach and Williamstown Beach.
So, to cut a long story short, it is pretty obvious we Melbournians like our beaches, but now we would like to hear from you. If you have a favourite beach spot in Victoria, simply leave comment; tell us where it is and why it makes the grade.

I quite like Rye backbeach and Portsea backbeach. Any of the beaches along the Great Ocean Road and there are some special beaches that you just dont tell anyone about!

My husband and I love the beautiful beach at Chelsea, it's a lovely clean beach, and there are plenty of outdoor tables and Barbeques if you would like to take a picnic. Nice clean toilets too. We go on day trips there on the train, just a short walk from the station to the beach, beautiful.
