Venmans Bushland National Park is entered off West Mt Cotton Road, Mt Cotton QLD. Venmans is a 255 acre property of natural bushland. There are several picnic areas with wood burning bbq's and tables. Amenities are only a short 50m walk from the day area. No animals are allowed at Venmans.

As you enter this unique bushland, you instantly feel the freedom of this place. The wildlife are silently watching from a distance. They are very friendly and inquisitive, slowly moving closer to your picnic table as you cook sausages on the barbie.

There are two well marked walking track options. The first track is 3k. It will take you through creek crossings and slowly wind back around to the day area. There are only a few slight hills on this track. The 7k track takes you through some of the same creek crossings then it guides you out along the property line. You will walk through thin rain forest areas and follow a long track through typical Aussie bushland. There are a few long and moderately steep hills on this track.

Brisbane Koala Bushlands

Brisbane Koala Bushlands is entered off Alperton Road Burbank QLD. This Bushland retreat has several electric bbqs, tables and a large sheltered area. The amenities are found around the back of the sheltered area. Dogs on leads and horses are allowed. Mountain Bikes are also allowed to ride the longer trail.

After a lovely meal cooked on the clean electric bbqs, there are two walk options. The first walk is 1.4k around in a loop on a sealed bitumen path. As you walk down the first hill you come across wooden creek crossings and some beautiful view areas, where you can stop and take in the creek flowing underneath. The wildlife is shy but look for markings on the trees and ground as you may just be lucky enough to see a koala watching you from his tree.

The second walking track is 5.4k long. Horses, Dogs on leashes and Mountain Bikes are all allowed on this dirt track. If your looking for a little more adventure this is the trail for you. It will take you approximately 4 hours return if walking.

Daisy Hill Regional Park and Koala Centre

Daisy Hill Regional Park and Koala Centre is entered off Daisy Hill Road, Daisy Hill QLD. This park is 435 hectares of running, walking and riding trails. There are two separate day areas with wood burning bbqs, amenities close by and shelters as well. Dogs on leads, mountain bikes, horses are all allowed in this park and the trails that surround it. There are walking paths designed for wheelchair access as well. The Koala Centre is open daily between 10am and 4pm.

Once you've parked your car whether its in the upper or lower day area you will realise the amazing options this huge park has to offer. The picnic areas that have wildlife thriving all around them are just the beginning. Whether you like to sit and relax listening to the serenity of this place, visit an Australian animal centre or you are there for an excursion of the tracks, there is something here for everyone.

The tracks are all different distances ranging from 500m around the day area to over 20k of hills, trails, rock climbing and crossing creeks. The tracks level of difficulty ranges from wide easy trails to steep, gravel, dirt or mud tracks.
