Durham, the student town (some may like to call it a sleepy city), which boasts of a world-class university, has been divided over the best pub in the city.

While it has the infamous distinction of housing the worst pub in Europe, it is more than compensated by good options like Loveshack, Studio and yes, the Durham Students Union.

While Klute can be very clumsy, smelly and reek of stale music (not to ignore the stench of sweat), it can provide a cheap clubbing night out for the ever-present student population.

Loveshack, on the other hand, is by far the best place to hang out with your friends or even go on that date which you have been waiting for. Equipped with some amazing music, a dance floor to kill for and drinks that would want to get you sloshed, Loveshack is the place where you could spend a fancy night in the quiet surroundings of Durham.

Studio is open till late nights and its best features are its VIP lounge and private access. The drinks are pretty 'student-friendly' and you would find a lot of dancing students around if you were were.

The Durham Students Union, by far, is the most cosiest and best place. Their Riverside Cafe gives you a perfect blend of ambience as well the right prices that a student could crave for. To top it, they also have a good menu to tickle your taste buds. So, if you have those campus cards, please flash them.

So people, get ready to get the dance floor sizzling, let your hair down and have the time of your life in this quiet, quaint town/city.
