Forget the wineries, check out these great attractions
Every wine drinker knows their Margaret River wineries and breweries, but for those who would rather explore attractions, that won't damage the liver, here is a list of the 5 best spots to explore.

The known beauty and popular tourist attraction Margaret River has quite a vast range places to visit. So which ones should you hit?

1. Chocolate Company

This one sings to the ladies, but there is no way that a fella can walk through the factory without salivating. Long well known for their quality chocolate and wide varieties, you really need a trolley when shopping in the factory. Truffles, flavoured bars, sauces, themed products and even chocolate beauty products. Whether it's for an afternoon delight or for that special someone, this factory truly has it all. The café within the factory makes it too easy to shave off a few hours of the day tasting the delicious sweet treats.

Bonus - free tastings everyday. Not tiny shavings of chocolate, but a bowl full of pastelles to spoon out. You can try and be subtle but the workers know all the tricks, so just go for it.

Try and resist - I dare you!

2. Margaret River Farmers' Market

Think fresh, seasonal and local produce of the best quality sold by those who make, produce and grow it all. The markets held every Saturday are a great way to experience the best of the region from those who know it best. Cutting out the middleman and purchasing straight from those behind the cheese, meats, sweets, fruits and vegetables that comes from the amazing region. Highlight vendors include The Farmhouse Meats, Margaret River Bakery, Tapalinga Homestead Produce and so many more!

This isn't a market you arrive to on a whim - skip breakfast and lunch so you can sample the best of the best whilst stocking up for the rest of the week

3. Settlers Tavern

With a pile of awards under its belt (Lifestyle Food Awards and Top 5 pubs within Good Food Guide), the Settlers Tavern is the pub which will make you feel like a local as soon as you step in.

Hearty local meals with bistro lines around the corner only confirm the popularity of the place. With a menu bursting with meals taking advantage of the regions top quality local produce, these aren't your average pub meals. The taste, quality, size and freshness of the menu will leave you wanting to sample them all.

Plus, the bar is topped with award winning wines and brews from the region and beyond. Live entertainment and special events can be found on the website which fill the 'Tav' brink with locals waiting to enjoy the local and national talent.

4. A'mazen Margaret River

Too many puns could ruin the wonder that is the A'mazen Margaret River Park. With 1.5 kilometres of path to get lost in over half a hectare of land, this gargantuan hedge maze is everything you can dream of. It's not an easy feat either, getting to the centre is actually a relief only to be matched with the challenge of finding your way out. It's a toughie but a goodie.

Besides the giant hedge maze, the property is filled with smaller mazes, games, puzzles and gardens to keep everyone entertained.

Warning: if you pretend to be Harry Potter in The Goblet of Fire, there is a chance that you might scare a child lost in the maze.

The Lake Cave is a pristine chamber beneath the earth where a tranquil lake reflects the formations of the cave which have developed over millions of years.
