Melbourne has so much to offer. I love experiencing new places and events and sharing them with you.
I have an interest in gluten free, vegan and vegetarian diets so I will let you know if you these can be catered for in my reviews.

Great Gatsby fever has hit. Along with Underbelly set in ol' Melbourne town doesn't it just want to make you live in those times, at least for a night?
So besides the odd 1920s themed ball or party, where could you go for some old fashioned fun in the style of those times?
24 Moons (The Modern Day Speakeasy) derives its inspiration from the 1920s speakeasies, where light entertainment including provocative dance (striptease) were becoming more common. Add to this, 1920s style cocktails and Jazz and there you have it, thrown back in time.
The next one, is a bit of a secret of Smith Street. Caz Reitops Dirty Secrets is discreet. With two levels, hosting comedy and music, it is a comfortable watering hole. They are all about revisiting the 1920s, they even "pay homage to the great Cocktail era of the 1920's by reintroducing the Cocktail hour."

Word is actually in 1920's warehouse. Red brick walls, an open fire, 1920s period features make this a cozy hang out. With old world charm and a convenient yet hidden away location (in one of Melbourne's beautiful lane ways) you could be forgiven for forgetting where you are.
Now, it's your turn to share: Where is the best 1920s style bar in Melbourne?
