Often described as one of the most picturesque or the prettiest cricket ground in the world, the Adelaide Oval now has a boutique hotel wrapped alongside the East Gate of the oval. Opened in September 2020, there are a few dining options offering tourists and locals a unique experience. Today, I'm going to tell you the 7 reasons why you should go to the Oval Hotel for breakfast.

The breakfast is offered at the Bespoke Wine Bar and Kitchen of the hotel. It's located on Level 3 of the oval. Your journey to Bespoke begins at the East Gate of the Adelaide Oval and finding the entrance with the sign Oval Hotel on it. Entering through the automatic glass door, you will see a lift that takes you to Level 3. Exiting the lift, we were immediately blown away by the view of North Adelaide and the two designer armchairs offering this magnificent view. The Oval Hotel reception is on your left. However, Bespoke is on the other side of the reception. As we walked through the reception area, we admired the sleek design while absorbing the bird's eye view of St Peter's Cathedral. This journey was my first reason for rising early to have breakfast at the Oval Hotel.

The breathtaking view of the oval is the crown on the jewels. No tables in Bespoke are bad, however, the tables by the ceiling to floor windows are the best. If you are lucky enough, you will be able to see the Oval Climbers walking on the oval roofs like ants.

The service is exquisite and attentive. Before we decided which breakfast to order, we are already offered drinks to start with. During the course of the meal, our waitress came and checked us out a couple of times too.

The $38 full breakfast is generous in portions with an unlimited refill of drinks including tea, juice and unfiltered coffee. It comes with continental breakfast and your choice of one a la carte breakfast. We decided on this breakfast on the advice of our waitress. She also says staying at level 6 of Oval Hotel is the best.

Another highlight on the menu is the housemade double-smoked bacon, housemade chorizo, housemade wagyu breakfast sausages and housemade baked beans. It shows the skills and efforts of the chef in the kitchen. South Australian produce like Beerenberg jam and honey are on your table to go with your toast. Don't we all love to try local gourmet?

After breakfast, we also took our chances to venture outside and cherish the moments where we had the oval all by ourselves. Bespoke opens for breakfast 6:30am - 10:00am on weekdays and 7am - 11am on weekends and public holidays. It also runs service for lunch & dinner. Book early to secure your front row seats for the oval.
