Bertha Brown Restaurant and Bar, located on the corner of Flinders Street and Spencer Street, is an unexpected low-key venue with a slightly classy atmosphere fit for any Tom, Jack or Harry.
The vintage furniture gives the place a unique, laid-back atmosphere without conforming to a trashy or overly hipster scene. Emerging from the cold streets of the city and into the warm and relaxed atmosphere is most certainly a dream come true this winter.

Bertha Brown Restaurant
At odd hours, pizza's are a must at $5 a pop for those watching their wallets. If pizza isn't your thing however, you can choose from a
large lunch menu Monday - Friday 12pm - 3pm.
As the sun begins to set, Bertha turns into more of a bar than a restaurant; the red candles are lit at every table, the bar tenders pour more drinks and a funky jazzy beat can be heard amongst the chatter.
Open Mic nights are held on Mondays, trivia on Wednesdays and KUYA & D'OPUS bring you a selections of Jazz, Funk and Bass on Fridays from 7pm. More information on Bertha's upcoming events can be found
here.

Entrance from Flinders St
Bertha also caters for free wifi. Just ask the friendly bar staff as you walk through their door on 562 Flinders Street.
I will definitely be back for an inexpensive and delicious pizza by candlelight soon!
