Having twins that are 16 months old, we're always looking for outings that don't cost the earth and that tire these monkeys out, so that we can all go home for a nap; Berry Reserve, for this reason, was a great hit!

We don't have a car, so rely on public transport which was perfect for this outing. The bus stops right in front of the cafe. We treated ourselves to a hot chocolate and moccha before strolling on the pathway and were then distracted by the ducks wanting bread.

The play area is also fantastic for most ages and there's more than enough equipment to keep the kids busy if the park is full.

As winter approaches, be sure to take warm clothes. Is was very nippy on the day that we went and most of the park and play area were in the shade.

Take a picnic with, there's loads of space to lay out the picnic blankets. Maybe use up some energy cycling around the lagoon before settling down for lunch.
