Having spent the last few years living abroad I now wish to rediscover my home city of Sydney to keep that 'travelling feeling' and share my findings with those that might want a bit of inspiration.
Take a date, take a mate, or even take your ma Happy Monday
Love being out in the warm spring evening air, but also love to sit back, relax and watch a movie with a glass of wine in hand? Well we have the perfect solution for you!
The completely revitalised Beresford Hotel is bringing back one of their hit events launched in 2012; Beresford Summer Movie Nights starting from October 7th and running until April 2014. For only the price of what you'll spend on food and drink (i.e; entrance/movie ticket is free) you can settle back in the gorgeous open air courtyard and indulge in a weekly screening of old (and some less-old) favourites.
The schedule has something for everyone. From the Lion King to Rocky, Milk to Romeo & Juliet (yes, the Leonardo DiCaprio version). View the schedule, take your pick and head down early enough to settle in before the show starts at 7.30pm. To make the evening truly relaxing are the relaxed prices from 5 until 7pm, allowing you to grab your drinks at a fraction of the price before the screening begins at only $5. Peckish as well? There's a $15 lasagna/pasta and a glass of red wine deal as well in addition to the regular menu which is delightful and heavily influenced by flavours of the European continent; in particular the experts of love and indulgence - the Italians.
Avoid Monday-itis by planning magic Monday film nights with your friends in the balmy open air. Forget the pesky creepy-crawlies and an uncomfortable bottom lying on the grass at the traditional moonlight cinemas. Head straight from work to Surry Hills, grab some drinks and some dinner and take your place at one of Merivale's hottest bars this spring and summer.
