If you're looking for an authentic Chinese and Vietnamese dining experience in Brisbane complete with karaoke, then Ben's Chinese and Vietnamese Restaurant in Wooloongabba should be on your list of restaurants to visit.

It's an ideal place to gather with friends to share a meal around a Lazy Susan and have a few laughs.

If you're not too keen on listening to complete strangers intrude on your meal with their singing talent (or lack thereof)? Karaoke is held only on Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm - 11.30pm, so relax, you can enjoy your meal in peace during an early dinner or on weeknights.

The restaurant is licensed and has an an extensive menu, making it a challenge to decide on what to order. We chose the "Stuck on You" chinese banquet, named after a song on the karaoke list, and left feeling extremely well-fed. Our wait staff were attentive and polite, even if they were a little too keen to clear our plates before we were finished.

The restaurant is spacious and can easily cater for parties and functions. There is an inbuilt dance floor which would be ideal for wedding receptions. The restaurant is in need of a refurbishment, but there's potential.

Ben's is a nice alternative to China Town in the Valley. It's easier to find a parking spot and it's still a stone's throw from Brisbane city nightlife.
