but you can just call me Ray.
My life is full of great experiences, made better for sharing.

If I lived in Melbourne I would be there once a week
I am an Adelaide based soul, and every time I go to Melbourne, I preserve one night for Bennett's Lane. Seven days a week great players, not average, but always great Jazz players, turn up and mesmerise.
I even sometimes stay over an extra night, just to go to Bennetts Lane.
It closed for a while last year because the owner of the property sold to Apartment developers. Matriarch Megg, though, has ramped it up again, and someone has bought the rights to the Bennets name.
Megg explained to me that the crew and the loyal players and crowd will move in April 2017 to a new facility, in Flinders Lane called Bennetts.
On my last visit, the appreciative crowd settles into the magical, mystical piano and vocals of Andrea Keller. Wow. On this night with the understated Steve Magnusson on his Paul Reed Smith guitar, and Danny Fisher on Drums, and occasional other percussives.
